Listen Mr. the Fairer Sex is hot. But we work hard for everything we’ve got. Natural beauty comes natural by design. And what you see might take that gal some effort and some time. She takes no handouts – you won’t find her on the dole. And her job of Mother is her most important role. She raised her children to be strong and know what’s right, But when her work day’s done its good to have a man to share the night. A woman wants a Good Man’s Love. A woman needs a Good Man’s Love. She takes care of business. She brings her own bacon home. But she doesn’t plan to spend her nights alone. At the end of the day a woman needs a Good Man’s Love. There’s that woman holdin’ out for what is real. Her mind is clear on how she thinks and how she feels. She ain’t got time to play that dating game, Cause’ what she wants and what she needs just might not be the same. A woman wants a Good Man’s Love. A woman needs a Good Man’s Love. She’s got the ambition and the freedom to choose. But the right man knows just how to keep his lady amused After all is said and done a woman needs a Good Man’s Love. Sax Instrumental – Ron Baker She takes care of business. She brings her own bacon home. But she doesn’t plan to spend her nights alone. After all is said and done a woman needs a Good Man’s Love. Oh Ya…At the end of the day a woman needs a Good Man’s Love. A woman wants a Good Man’s Love A woman needs a Good Man’s Love Oh… she wants a Good Man’s Love Oh and she needs a Good Man’s Love Hey, hey hey a Good Man’s Love Whoa ya… Good Man’s Love Whoa..oh… oh Yeah, yeah. Oh oh oh… A Good Man’s Love.

Know his name. Light the candle. Touch the flame that burns within the heart Play the Game. Take the handle. See the frame. Make your start. Whoa….. He is ev…ery…..man. But like no Man… He is. Whoa… won’t you understand, see the master plan. It’s his. Take a step behind the silent stranger, There you’ll find your new place in the back Maybe then you’ll feel the thrill of danger As the center stage fades into black. Instrumental – Karl Van der Velden Yeah… He can light the way If you stop and hear him say… Touch the Flame . Push the Handle Make your Name. Share your Heart…

Sugar 05:13
Drip, drip, drippin’ baby, in this gray Seattle town, You pass me your umbrella when the rain starts fallin’ down. “Always such a gentleman!” I mention as we strolled. “But I’m worried ‘bout you gettin’ wet! You’ll catch your death of cold!” You tell me… “I’m not made of Sugar, but my honey can’t be beat. Oh, I’m not made of Sugar, but my love is sticky sweet! Trip, trip, trippin’ baby, over puddles in our way. We’re splashing down the sidewalk. You shiver and ¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬I say… “It’s really pourin’ down now, we’re both soaked to the skin We’re nearing my apartment. You’d better come on in.” You whisper… “I’m not made of Sugar, Baby, but my honey can’t be beat. No, no, no I ain’t made of Sugar, Darlin’, but my love is sticky sweet!”

Strollin’ through my Trailerhood you’ll see many mobilehomes. Some complete with covered decks, some with garden gnomes. I don’t have a mortgage and buddy, that’s sure nice I might pay a lot fee but it’s a fraction of the price! Welcome in! See inside! You won’t call this place a dump. It ain’t no plain ole Single Wide, It’s a Double with a Bump! There’s no deed to my house. But its got a license plate! And I can always move it to a new town out of State. You might fall on hard times too so don’t call us Trailer Trash You might just call us “Neighbor” if you wind up low on cash! Come on in and check it out! You won’t think I’m such a chump! It ain’t no plain ole Single Wide. It’s a Double with a Bump! Instrumental – Clayton Murray Come on in and check it out! You won’t think I’m such a chump! It ain’t no plain ole Single Wide. It’s a Double with a Bump! It Ain’t no plain ole Single Wide. It’s a Double with a Bump Yeah! It Ain’t no plain ole Single Wide. It’s a Double with a Bump!

Work on You 04:40
People talk and People talk and People talk when they should stop and listen. Look and see the role you played, the choices made, the price was paid with what? The future’s haunted by our past. Did you hear the questions you were asked? Work on You. Oooohhh… Work on You People walk, and People walk just buried in their comfortable distractions. Struggling to move ahead without a thought of what they’d left behind. The human race is runnin’ much too fast Even so we’re bound to finish last. Work on you. Oooohh…. Work on You Don’t mind me I long to see the forest for the trees. Can we two enjoyed the view and leave it all in peace? If we just admit that we were wrong, This will all be better when we’re gone. Work on You. Oooohh…. Work on You. Whistle – Gary Sparling The human race is runnin’ much too fast. Look around and see who comes in last. Work on You… Ohooo hooo Work on you…. Ooooooh… Workin’ on me too Ooooohhh… Ooooohhhh….Oooooohh…. Workin' on me too……

He’s got a deadline – better get out of his way! Don’t try to cut him off cause he ain’t gonna play! You expect your groceries to be on the market shelves, Well how you think they get there? They can’t walk there by themselves! Chaining up his tires on an icy mountain top Crossing desert highways on the smoldering blacktop This risky business might his poor wife But it ain’t just a paycheck’ it’s a proud way of life. He Drives. He Drives. He Drives. He Drives. He Drives North South East West across the USA… He Drives Instrumental – Ron Baker He misses Christmas, misses birthdays, misses YOU! But the moneys always there when the mortgage payments due He might need some lovin’ and some home cooked cuisine He might need a shower, but his driving records clean! He Drives. He Drives. Well she’s a fine sweet lovin’ woman She’s oh so sweet and kind, But you know she’ll drive you crazy, Because she can’t make up her mind. You know she’ll give you her love Then she’ll hang you on the line. You come home from work on Tuesday She’ll have your supper served at 8:00 Oh but when you get home on Thursday She’ll make you sit outside and wait. She’ll keep you spinnin’ around Lord she’ll make you agitated! She’s a Wishy Washy Woman. She’s a Wishy Washy Woman. Well She’s a Wishy Washy Woman Well She’s a Wishy Washy Woman You’ll never know if she’ll love you Or she’ll hang you out to dry. My My! She don’t air your dirty laundry But your reputations stained You know you’re all washed up And your love’s gone down the drain. Yeah, hey hey! She’s a Wishy Washy Woman. A Wishy Washy Woman. Well she’s a Wishy Washy Woman A Wishy Washy Woman You’ll never know if she’ll love you Or she’ll hang you out to dry. Yeah hey! She’s a Wishy Washy Woman. She’s a Wishy Washy Woman. Oh she’s a Wishy… Washy… Wishy… Washy.. Wishy Washy Wishy Washy Woman. You’ll never know if she’ll love you Or she’ll hang you out to dry.

about

This collection of tunes takes you on a journey through true Americana styles. Never to be compartmentalized, the music carries a common thread of colorful characters and scenarios that will surely entertain and engage the listener.
Though the Rece Jay Band formed in 2012, its true origins go back much further. Singer and songwriter Rece has been friends with drummer Scott Rongey since they were 13 playing Wishbone Ash, Led Zeppelin and James Gang tunes at Jr High and High School parties. She and bassist Gary Sparling wrote together and performed around the Pacific Northwest in the early '80s. The camaraderie shows onstage. So does their versatility.

"My writing is all over the board. I studied classical as a child and in college I studied and sang jazz and was part of a Las Vegas Style show band. I try to write songs that sound familiar and are dance-able and fun. We take our music very seriously, but we don't take ourselves too seriously. And fortunately the band appreciates my eclectic writing style."

The band includes talented musicians capable of playing nearly any shade of Americana.
